SGI says some of their customers may have been targeted by scammers. The provincial insurance company has been made aware scammers might be sending emails posing as their bank and asking them to provide a photo or scan of their driver’s license. SGI says if get a request like that, take steps to verify that the request is coming from a trusted source before providing any personal information, or contact your broker.
