The Manitoba government is providing over 60 million dollars to help its five regional health authorities cover the costs incurred by the ongoing pandemic over the first two quarters of 2020-21.
A government release says this is part of a quarterly reimbursement program announced in the summer, to help health authorities deal with increased costs resulting from additional staffing, supplies and equipment, along with enhanced cleaning procedures.
The province says similar funding will also be provided to the health authorities for the latter half of this year.
