The Mayor of Naicam, Rodger Hayward, has been elected President of the Municipalities of Saskatchewan.
Hayward defeated incumbent, and Mayor of Saltcoats, Gordon Barnhart, who had been in the role since 2017.
Barnhart was recently under scrutiny for vacationing in Hawaii during the pandemic.
The election was held during MuniSask’s 2021 Virtual Convention.
