Some local roadways will be receiving upgrades, as part of the Saskatchewan government’s 300-million-dollar investment in highways over the next two years.
Highway 229, to Good Spirit Provincial Park will get thin-membrane surface upgrades.
Meanwhile, Highway 16 will see passing lanes added in two areas – from Springside to Saltcoats, and from Clavet to Viscount.
Both projects are expected to be completed this fall, and the roadwork is part of the province’s two-year, two-billion-dollar stimulus package, aimed at speeding up the economic recovery from COVID-19.
