Roblin RCMP Officer Still Awaiting Trial Date on Charges Stemming From Alleged Assault

A Roblin RCMP officer facing several charges in connection with an alleged assault, is still waiting for a new trial date.

In December of 2018, the Roblin RCMP received a report from a third party that a woman may be the victim of an assault.

Following a lengthy investigation, an officer with the Roblin detachment was arrested in June of 2019, in relation to off-duty incidents that occurred in 2017 and 2018.

Constable Jason Kitzul is charged with Assault, Assault with a Weapon, and Impaired Driving, and will return to court on March 18th.
