Grandstand Project in Yorkton Receives a Financial Boost

The Yorkton Exhibition Association has received 2 large donations toward the Grandstand project.

This morning, Job Site Mechanical and Parkland Engine Rebuilders contributed a total of $25 thousand.

Richardson Oilseeds and Richardson Pioneer also donated a total of $5 thousand for the project.

“We are very fortunate to have so many great community supporters, it really is a community project,” said Barb Woytas, spokesperson for the Yorkton Exhibition Association. “It would not be possible without the support of the businesses and people of our community.”

Woytas says these donations will be well used.

“It is essentially allowing us to tear down the existing bleachers and rebuild them from the ground up, so we will have a nice, new bleacher that we can’t wait to bring our friends and neighbours together again and hold events, hopefully, this summer.” she said.

The project is slated for completion in June.
