RCMP Determine Infant Boy’s Death Was a Homicide

An update regarding the investigation into the death of an infant on the Cote First Nation late last year.

On November 21st, RCMP and EMS personnel were called to a home in Canora, where a one-year-old boy required urgent medical attention, and after attempts to revive the boy were unsuccessful, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The child has been identified as 21-month-old Lorenzo Cote, of the Cote First Nation, and Mounties have determined that the boy’s death was a homicide.

Police continue to investigate, and ask anyone with any information related to this case to contact their local police service or Crimestoppers.
