Woman Charged in Fatal Vehicle-Pedestrian Collision in August 2019 Has a New Court Date

A new court date has been set for a Piapot First Nation woman, charged following a fatal vehicle/pedestrian collision in the summer of 2019.

43-year-old Leah Pratt, who is charged with Dangerous Driving Causing Death and Criminal Negligence Causing Death, is scheduled to be back in Regina Provincial Court on September 1st..

Southey RCMP were called to the scene of the incident on August 24th, 2019, where a woman present confirmed she had struck the victim with her vehicle, on a driveway at a home on the reserve.

33-year-old Nolan Sugar was pronounced dead at a Regina hospital.
