A Pukatawagan man committed to stand trial for Second Degree Murder, in connection with a death in that community last year, made another court appearance.
On Monday (Mar. 1), the matters for 22-year-old August Thunder Caribou were adjourned to May 10th in The Pas Court of Queen’s Bench.
On the evening of June 26th, Mounties were called to a wooded area of the community, where they discovered the body of a 22-year-old woman.
Caribou began working as a guard at the Pukatawagan detachment on June 5th, and he last worked a shift there June 20th, but Mounties say there is no link between his employment, the victim and the charges laid against him.
