Report of Erratic Driver and Pair of Break-And-Enters in Yorkton Area Under RCMP Investigation

Yorkton RCMP are investigating a report of an erratic driver and two break-and-enters that are being treated as related.

On Friday afternoon (Mar. 5) RCMP received complaints of a westbound vehicle on Highway 52 cutting other vehicles off and driving into oncoming traffic before hitting the ditch and two occupants fleeing.

While at the scene, police got a call from a nearby homeowner, who said when they pulled in they noticed two suspects were inside their home then fled again.

Footprints in the snow led to a second home, where the suspects, a man and a woman, were located and arrested without incident.

The two were taken to the hospital to be treated for non life-threatening injuries believed to be sustained from the crash.
