New Court Dates Set For Two People Committed to Stand Trial on Charges from 2019 Robberies on Muscowpetung First Nation

Two individuals ordered to stand trial on charges stemming from several robberies on the Muscowpetung First Nation in 2019, were back in Regina Court of Queen’s Bench on Friday (Mar. 5).

27-year-old Jarrett Poitras and 27-year-old Jere Pinacie had their matters adjourned to March 26th in Regina.

Meanwhile, one of their co-accused, 22-year-old Michael Obey of Regina, admitted to four counts in December, including Theft of a Motor Vehicle, and was handed a 1,066-day prison term.

On March 4th, 2019, RCMP say a convenience store on the reserve was robbed of money and tobacco products, and then on July 23rd, the same store was robbed, and a home on the reserve was broken into.
