Prison Time For Bowsman, Manitoba Man For Storming Rideau Hall While Heavily Armed

A judge has sentenced a Bowsman, Manitoba man who admitted to ramming through a gate at Rideau Hall while heavily armed last summer.

This afternoon (Wed), Correy Hurren received 6 years in prison, minus time already served.

Hurren pled guilty to seven weapon-related offences and one count of mischief back on February 5th.

The Crown was seeking a lifetime weapon ban, in addition to the 6-year prison term, while the defense had requested a 3-year prison sentence, less a year for his pre-trial custody.
