Two Portage la Prairie Residents Charged in Connection to Attempted Break-and-Enter Near McCreary

Ste. Rose RCMP have laid charges, following an attempted break-and-enter on Monday (8th) morning, at a rural property near McCreary.

Mounties were called to the property shortly before noon, after the homeowner interrupted a break-in to his garage, after being alerted by an alarm.

The two suspects, a man and a woman, fled on foot, and the homeowner followed them in his vehicle, calling police, and they were arrested without incident on Highway 50, just east of Road 84N.

29-year-old Davey Mousseau, of Portage la Prairie is in custody, to appear in Dauphin March 16th, charged with Break and Enter, Obstruction, and Failure to Comply, while a 26-year-old Portage woman faces a charge of Break and Enter, and will appear in Dauphin on May 18th.
