Indian Head RCMP responded to a fatal two-vehicle collision on grid road 606, north of Montmarte this morning (Fri).

Initial investigation by Mounties revealed that a southbound truck on grid 606 and a westbound truck on a second grid road collided.

There were 5 occupants in the southbound truck, one adult and four children, all from the Carry the Kettle First Nation, and all were taken to hospital, one of them by STARS.

The lone occupant of the westbound truck, an adult male from the Glenavon area, was declared dead at the scene,

RCMP continue to investigate the cause of the collision.
