Residents in Saskatchewan can now report certain crimes online.

The Saskatchewan launched an online crime reporting tool on their website, which can be accessed on a computer or a cellphone.

Crimes that can be reported includes theft under 5-thousand dollars, damage to property under 5-thousand dollars, damage to a vehicle under 5-thousand dollars, and lost or found property.

Since February 8th, the RCMP have piloted the project in several Saskatchewan communities, including Yorkton.
