The federal government will be releasing a budget on April 19.

This will be the first budget the Trudeau Liberals have tabled since March of 2019.

Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland made the announcement in the House of Commons.

“We will continue to do whatever it takes to support Canadians and Canadian businesses, and we have a plan for jobs and robust growth.” said Freeland.

This is also Freeland’s first budget as Finance Minister since replacing Bill Morneau last summer after his resignation.
