Two People Accused of Roles in Numerous Robberies Have New Court Dates

New court dates have been set for two people ordered to stand trial, in connection with numerous robberies on the Muscowpetung First Nation in 2019.

The matters for 27-year-old Jarrett Poitras and 27-year-old Jere Pinacie were adjourned to April 23rd, in Regina Court of Queen’s Bench.

In December, one of their co-accused, 22-year-old Michael Obey, of Regina, pled guilty to four charges, including Theft over Five-Thousand Dollars, and was sentenced to 1,066 days in prison.

On March 4, 2019, RCMP say a convenience store on the reserve was robbed of money and tobacco products, and then on July 23rd, the same store was robbed, and a home on the reserve was broken into.
