Today Marks 3-Years Since Humboldt Broncos Bus Crash in 2018, Virtual Tribute Service Set for Later Today

On this day 3 years ago, the Humboldt Broncos team bus collided with a semi carrying peat moss at the intersection of Highways 335 and 35, near Tisdale.

The Broncos were on their way to Nipawin for a playoff game at the time of the collision, which resulted in 16 people dead and 13 others injured.

Since that day, a number of tributes have been made for the team and the City of Humboldt, including one today (Mon).

A virtual tribute service will be held at Humboldt’s St. Augustine Catholic Church to mark the sombre anniversary.

The service will be live-streamed on the City of Humboldt’s Facebook page, beginning at 4:30.

It was revealed yesterday (Mon) by the City of Humboldt and the Humboldt Broncos Memorial Committee a pair of projects are in the works: a tribute centre and a permanent memorial at the site of the crash.
