Customers with SaskTel will see data overage charges waived until June 30th.
In a news release, Minister Responsible for SaskTel Don Morgan notes that the decision was made to financially assist customers with online learning or those working from remotely as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Data overage charges are waived for businesses or consumers who use the SaskTel postpaid wireless, no-Strings-prepaid wireless, and SaskTel Fusion internet plans.
In addition to the waiver of data overage charges, SGI customers will be receiving rebate cheques in May for roughly $285 per vehicle, and SaskPower customers are currently enjoying a 10% bill reduction.
