The Prime Minister and his wife received their first doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, today (Fri).

Having appointments at a pharmacy close to Parliament Hill, both Justin Trudeau and his wife Sophie received the Astra-Zeneca vaccine.

Immediately after receiving his vaccine, Trudeau gave an enthusiastic “yay” and two thumbs up, before it was his wife’s turn.

Trudeau continues to encourage Canadians to get their first dose of the vaccine, as soon as it becomes available to them.

Trudeau wasn’t the only member of cabinet to receive a dose of the vaccine, as earlier today (Fri) Health Minister Patty Hajdu received the Astra-Zeneca vaccine at her Thunder Bay riding.

A number of federal political figures have received their first doses of the vaccine, including NDP leader Jagmeet Singh, while Conservative Leader Erin O’Toole is schedule to get his shot this weekend.
