Two Suspects Sought by Moosomin RCMP After Reports of Fake U.S. Money Used to Make Purchases at Multiple Businesses

Moosomin RCMP are searching for two suspects who reside in Manitoba, after reports of counterfeit American money was used at businesses in Saskatchewan.

RCMP say yesterday (Mon) a man and woman entered multiple businesses in Whitewood, Moosomin and possibly other communities to make purchases using fake American bills.

The pair advised most businesses that they were coming home from Minot, North Dakota and are going to see their mother in Manitoba, hence why they had U.S. currency.

At some locations small amounts of the money were accepted, but at one location in Moosomin the suspects attempted to buy 1-thousand dollars worth of merchandise but were declined.

It’s believed the money is still with the suspects, and they could be travelling east as the pair was in Whitewood prior to being in Moosomin around 1 p.m. yesterday.
