A Roblin RCMP officer who went to trial in connection with an alleged assault, has had his charges stayed by the Crown.

In December of 2018, the Roblin RCMP received a report from a third party that a woman may be the victim of an assault.

Following a lengthy investigation, an officer with the Roblin detachment was arrested in June of 2019, in relation to off-duty incidents that occurred in 2017 and 2018.

Constable Jason Kitzul had the charges against him dropped yesterday (Tue).
