Manitoba officials handed out 60 tickets and 97 warnings between May 3rd and May 9th, related to non-compliance with public health measures aimed at slowing the spread of COVID-19.
One business received a five-thousand-dollar ticket, while nine people received tickets worth $298 apiece, for failing to wear a mask in an indoor public space.
50 fines of $1,296, were handed out to individuals for various offences, including 47 related to gatherings in private residences or outdoors, and three to people who failed to self-isolate.
Remember that individuals who rack up two or more tickets for failing to mask up indoors will now see fines increased to $486, while anyone who has been tickets for two or more violations of other measures will see their penalties raised to $2,542.
