First Court Appearances Made By Two Men Charged in Connection to Alleged Use of Fake Money at Regina Business

Two men charged following the alleged use of counterfeit currency at a Regina business, have made their first court appearances.

On Monday (10th), Regina Police got a report from a Dewdney Avenue business, where someone used or attempted to use use fake one-hundred-dollar bills for purchases, on April 17th and May 3rd.

The investigation led to two suspects being identified and a suspect vehicle located on Tuesday (11th), at a home on Alexandra Street, where search warrants were executed and evidence was seized.

37-year-old Pierre Laferte, of Regina, and 32-year-old Tyson Knutson, of Grenfell, each face multiple charges, and both men remain in custody, to appear again in Regina on Tuesday (18th).
