More Funding For Manitoba Schools For the Next School Year

Additional funding has been allocated for Manitoba schools for the 2021-22 school year.

The province announced that 58-million dollars will be put towards COVID-19 protection and resources to support the mental health and well-being of students and staff.

40-million dollars will go towards staffing and school resources, 6-million for PPE, 5-million towards remote learning for medically compromised students from Kindergarten to Grade 8, and 7-million in contingency funding.

Manitoba is projected to invest up to 170-million dollars by the end of June for this current school year, which includes 85-million in federal contributions.
