Emergency Services at Preeceville & District Health Centre Will Resume Monday Morning

The Saskatchewan Health Authority announced emergency services at the Preeceville & District Health Centre will resume on Monday (May 31) at 8 a.m.

At that time, the emergency department will re-open to provide services for patients requiring urgent or emergency care.

There was a temporary disruption in emergency services in Preeceville since April 20th.

It was the result of what the SHA called “a realignment of health services to support patient care” due to increased COVID-19 activity and subsequent increase in ICU capacity and illness among patients in the Yorkton area at the time.

That meant nursing staff were redeployed and a physician and nurse practitioner were placed on standby to support the SHA’s pandemic response in Yorkton.
