Major improvements are coming to highway 5-A, the main southern access road to Dauphin. The Manitoba government has earmarked $13 million for the work, which includes developing a four-lane divided roadway, improving intersections and constructing service roads. Work is expected to begin in the 2022-23 construction season and is expected to be completed before Dauphin hosts the Manitoba Summer Games in 2024.
