Two Men Sent to Prison for Violent Home Invasion on Cote First Nation

Two of three people charged in connection with a violent incident on the Cote First Nation, have admitted their guilt.

Kamsack RCMP say in the early morning hours of May 2nd, they were called to a home on the reserve, on a report of a violent break, enter, and assault.

Upon arrival, they found a man who was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

18-year-old Sidney Rogers and 19-year-old Phoenix Shingoose have each been sentenced to 1027 days in prison, and a lifetime firearms ban.

Their co-accused, 19-year-old Jamie Quewezance, returns to court on Tuesday.
