A Carlyle RCMP officer has been charged after an investigation into a complaint made to the Carlyle RCMP Detachment after an incident last October.
Saskatchewan RCMP say on October 31, Carlyle Mounties stopped a vehicle in Arcola, where one of the vehicle occupants, an adult male, was arrested by Constable Dani Zaya.
During the interaction with the man, Zaya allegedly used OC spray.
A complaint was made on November 18, and on Wednesday (June 23), Zaya was arrested and charged with one count of assault with a weapon, but was released on conditions for his court date July 14th in Carlyle.
