A Redvers Man Facing Hate Crime Charges Was Back In Court

A trial date has been set for a Redvers man arrested in February, and charged with Willfully Promoting Hatred to an Identifiable Group, following the publication of an Anti-Semitic video on YouTube, in June of 2019. Mounties received reports of four similar videos and hate speech alleged to have been made by 30-year-old Travis Patron, between April and July of last year, and these remain under investigation. In Regina yesterday, the hate charge against Patron was waived to February 23rd in Carlyle, for trial. He remains in custody. Meanwhile, he will stand trial on October 7th in Regina, on unrelated assault charges, dating back to November of 2019
