SaskPower has updated the record for summertime power consumption set Wednesday. Originally, the power company said 3,543 megawatts had been used, but now say it was actually 3,547. The previous summer record set on August 10, 2018 of 3,524 megawatts. SaskPower also expects new records will be set in the next few days as the heat wave continues.
