The federal and provincial governments are teaming up to provide funding for 12 bridge and culvert projects across Saskatchewan, to the tune of 6.8 million dollars.
A pair of local rural municipalities will benefit, including the R.M. of Bjorkdale, which will receive a total of 500-thousand dollars, to replace the existing wooden Hamel Bridge, with a new concrete and steel bridge.
Meanwhile, the R.M. of Insinger will also get 500-thousand dollars, to replace existing Wolf’s bridge with a new steel structure.
The federal-provincial money will help replace culverts or bridges that have reached the end of their service life, with the recipients covering the remaining costs.
