A 14-year-old Esterhazy-area boy, facing four counts of Uttering Death Threats, has made his first court appearance.

The boy, who cannot be named due to his age, is accused of making threats on social media, that Esterhazy RCMP say included information about a potential shooting, with some threats directed at specific students.

Because the threats were made after hours, the school was not locked down.

The youth will be back in Esterhazy Court on August 10th.
