Swan River Mountie Suffers Broken Bone While Making an Arrest in the Town Thursday Night

A Swan River RCMP officer as injured during an arrest in the town, last night (Thu).

Officers received a report of a suspicious male, and they located him near 11th Avenue South with a large sword under his coat.

A foot pursuit took place, and when making the arrest, one of the officers suffered a broken bone.

The 43-year-old Wuskwi Siphik First Nation man is facing charges of Carrying a Concealed Weapon and Resisting Arrest.
