Rocanville Man Facing Child Pornography Charges Misses Court Date, But a New One is Made

A new court date has been set for a Rocanville man facing 11 charges stemming from a child pornography investigation.

The 36-year-old, who can’t be named due to a publication ban, missed his scheduled appearance in in Regina Provincial Court yesterday (THURS), and his matters were adjourned to next Thursday (Aug. 5), but if he again fails to appear, a bench warrant will be issued.

On June 26, 2019, the Saskatchewan and Alberta Internet Child Exploitation Units acted on a tip, alleging that two men were accessing and sharing child porn.

Searches were conducted in Rocanville and Red Deer, resulting in the rescue of two children, the seizure of electronics, and two arrests.
