A fatal accident took place near Endeavour, heading into the long weekend.

On Friday evening, witnesses observed a vehicle in the ditch along a grid near Highway 9, with smoke coming from it.

Canora RCMP responded to the scene, where CPR was administered on the driver until paramedics arrived.

The 60-year-old driver, who was the lone occupant of the vehicle, was declared deceased at the scene.
