Total Number of Wildfires Reported in Saskatchewan More Than Double the Five-Year Average

There are currently 131 active wildfires in the province.

As of this afternoon (Mon), Saskatchewan’s Public Safety Agency reports 8 are contained while 20 are listed as not contained.

The number of fires receiving ongoing assessment is 85 while there are 18 that require fire crews to protect property and infrastructure.

Already this year there have been 514 fires which is more than double the five year average of 242.
