Saskatchewan Reports 56 New COVID-19 Cases, 48 Recoveries and Two Deaths

Saskatchewan reported 56 new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday, bringing the provincial total to 50,251.

Case locations include: 2 in the Far North Central; 5 in the Far North West; 2 in the Far North East; 1 in the North West; 2 in the North Central; 1 in the Central West; 17 in Saskatoon; 15 in the South East; 4 in Regina; 2 in the South Central; and 2 in the South West.

Three of the new cases are pending location.

According to Saskatchewan’s COVID-19 Dashboard, two more deaths were added to the provincial total, which is now at 581.

The Central East region has 13 of the province’s 503 active cases.

53 people are in hospital, while 48 recoveries were recorded, bringing that total to 49,167.

An additional 1,764 tests for COVID-19 were done in Saskatchewan, and an additional 3,861 vaccine doses were administered in the province.

The seven day average of daily new cases is 51.
