It had a magnitude between 3.9 and 4.2, located approximately 27 kilometres east of Esterhazy.

The last one to occur in the region was on August 16, 2019, with a magnitude of 4.1.

The largest documented earthquake in the region was recorded on May 16, 1909, with a magnitude of 5.5.
