New COVID-19 Guidelines Released For Saskatchewan Schools

The Saskatchewan Government has released updated guidelines for schools as the 2021-22 academic year rapidly approaches.

The province says children who are turning 12 this year will be eligible for the vaccine and are also encouraged to get it as soon as possible.

Mask use is being recommended for children under 12, unvaccinated teachers and unvaccinated support staff when in common areas of school, such as hallways washrooms, lunch rooms, and libraries.

For outdoor activities such as recess or outdoor gym classes, there is no recommendation for students to mask.
