Saskatchewan saw a large spike in COVID-19 case counts.
244 new cases were identified, with 9 in the Far North West, 1 in the Far North Central, 18 in the Far North East, 11 in the North West, 25 in the North Central, 34 in the North East, 54 in Saskatoon, 6 in the Central West, 9 in the Central East, 35 in Regina, 3 in the South West, 16 in the South Central and 13 in the South East.

Hospitalizations dropped in the province to 84 with 15 residents receiving treatment in intensive care.
66 more people have recovered, leaving 1,381 active cases, including 70 in the Central East region.
No additional deaths due to the virus were announced, and Saskatchewan’s seven day average of daily new cases jumped to 146.
Of today’s cases, 20% were in fully vaccinated individuals, while 75% were in unvaccinated residents.
