Fatal Two-Vehicle Collision Near Ste. Rose du Lac

Ste Rose du Lac RCMP responded to a fatal two-vehicle collision, last night (Wed).

Investigations showed that on Highway 68, east of the town, an eastbound mini-van had struck a deer, causing it to swerve into the westbound lane, where the van collided head on with a westbound vehicle.

The driver of the westbound vehicle, a 30-year-old woman from Dauphin, was pronounced deceased at the scene, the passenger, a 44-year-old man from Dauphin, was taken to hospital with serious injuries, while a one-year old child was not injuries.

Both occupants of the mini-van suffered minor injuries.
