Saskatchewan Ministry of Environment inspectors and conservation officers intercepted a boat containing invasive aquatics species. On August 30th, an Albertan resident entered a watercraft inspection station near Moosomin, with a recently purchased boat from Manitoba. Their conservation officers discovered zebra mussels about the boat. The boat was moved to Langenburg for decontamination, and the owner received a warning of non-compliance for failure to ensure proper decontamination.
