2 Sask. Men Appear In Court On Assault Charges

Two of four men charged with Aggravated Assault stemming from a pair of incidents last month on neighbouring First Nations have made another court appearance. 21-year-old Demetrius Standingready of the White Bear First Nation, was remanded to October 13th in Carlyle court. 27-year-old Jordan Desjarlais, of Regina, will be back in Estevan Court on October 4th, for a bail hearing. July 28th, Carlyle RCMP were called to investigate an alleged assault outside a business on the Pheasant Rump Nakota First Nation that left a man seriously injured. Approximately an hour later, Mounties were notified that someone had discharged a firearm at a vehicle on the White Bear First Nation.
