Sask. To Cover C.F Drug

Good news for Saskatchewan patients living with Cystic Fibrosis, as the province hopes to begin providing coverage for Trikafta, a new drug that has been shown to improve the quality of life for CF patients, as soon as October 1st. The new medication has been approved for use for patients 12 years-of-age an up, with a specific CF genetic mutation. The province is part of the Pan-Canadian Pharmaceutical Alliance reached an agreement with Vertex Pharmaceuticals on terms for pricing and coverage for the medication.
