The Sask. Government Proclaims Truth And Reconciliation Day

It’s official. The Saskatchewan government has proclaimed September 30th as Truth and Reconciliation day. On Thursday, all government offices will be closed, and flags on all provincial buildings will be lowered to half-mast. All residents are encouraged to wear orange to further generate discussion and raise awareness on the history of the residential school system in Canada. The Provincial Capital Commission will be turning certain park lights orange in key locations of Wascana Centre.
