Yorkton RCMP are reminding residents the dangers of fentanyl

Residents in Yorkton are being reminded of the dangers of fentanyl.

According to the Yorkton RCMP, there have been five overdoses suspected to be caused by fentanyl in the last two months, with two being fatal.

Fentanyl is a very potent opioid pain reliever that can take many forms, and can easily be mixed with other street drugs.

Signs of a fentanyl overdose includes slow, weak or no breathing, blue lips or nails, dizziness and confusion, inability to wake up, and drowsiness or difficulty staying awake.
