Saskatchewan recorded 480 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday, bringing the provincial total to 68,290.
The new cases are located in the Far North West (17), Far North East (7), North West (65), North Central (22), North East (15), Saskatoon (107), Central West (7), Central East (27), Regina (72), South West (22), South Central (47) and South East (29) zones and 43 new cases have pending residence information.
Sixteen (16) cases with pending residence information were reassigned to North West (from September 7 (1), September 17 (1), September 18 (1), September 29 (1), September 30 (1)), North Central (from September 29 (1), September 30 (6)), Saskatoon (from September 28 (1)), and Regina (from September 27 (2), September 30 (1)) zones.

Eight deaths from the virus brings that total to 708; three of the deaths are in the Central East region, 2 each in the Saskatoon and South Central regions, and one in the South West.

COVID hospitalizations went down to 306 – 239 inpatient and 67 in ICU – and 418 people recovered, bringing the total number of recoveries to 62,758. Of the 306 patients eligible for vaccination, 227 (74.2%) were not fully vaccinated.
Provincially, active cases are slightly up by 54 to 4,824; the Central East, however, saw its active case count drop by 16 to 255.
The seven day average of daily new cases is 478 or 39.6 new cases per 100,000.
The total number of COVID-19 tests done in the province is 1,141,192, an increase of 3,257.
There was 4,003 new vaccine doses reported: 2,040 first doses and 1,963 second doses.
