Communities, schools, First Nations and non-profits are being encouraged to apply for the Community Rink Affordability Grant, being offered by the Province of Saskatchewan. The provincial government has committed 1.7 million dollars to the program for 2021-22, to help offset the cost of operating skating and curling rinks. Applicants are eligible to receive grants of 25-hundred dollars, for each indoor ice surface, to be administered by the Saskatchewan Parks and Recreation Association. The application period runs from October 15th to January 15th, with more information and the online application form available at www.spra.sk.ca/funding/spra-grants.
