Saskatchewan will be continuing to transfer COVID-19 patients in ICU to Ontario.
Three more patients are in the process of being transferred today (Mon) and barring any significant changes 4 more patients will be sent to Ontario tomorrow (Tues).
President of the Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency, Marlo Pritchard, says between 2 and 4 patients could be transferred per day moving forward, but that will depend on various factors.
Saskatchewan’s ICU capacity, as of this morning (Mon), is 117 patients, including 71 COVID-19 patients and 45 non-COVID-19 patients.
Pritchard also confirmed six critical care nurses, provided by the federal government, will be helping ICU staff in Regina and are expected to start this Wednesday.
